11 days. 11 Freaking days. The closer it gets the more I miss her. I am getting so psyched for this!

Yes ladies and gents it is 16 days til Zero Hour. I don’t think that little island can handle my awesomeness. LOL.

 

Seriously though, I am super psyched. Gonna do a little shopping for the trip off this paycheck and then save as much as I can.  It’s funny. I find myself missing her more and more the closer I get to the trip. My impatience kicking in. I want to be there now, and I want to be able to not have to come back. But oh well. I will gladly take the 2 weeks. Then it’s not long til I see her again hopefully.

Jesus. She just logged off IM when I was on a call, and I feel sad that I didin’t get to say goodbye to her. Sometimes I have these feelings and they are completely alien to me, because I have never felt so strongly about someone else. I love her more and mroe all the time too. It’s strange. I’ll find something out about her that I didn’t know and my heart twinges a bit, because the space I’ve made for her grows.

The Perfect Woman

I found her ladies and germs.  Perfect for me anyways. And I get to see her in 18 days. I am so psyched, it doesn’t seem real. Seems like a really,  really good dream. Fly from DTW to JFK, from JFK to DUB, then to the waiting arms of the woman I am madly, retardedly in love with. Then I with her for 2 whole weeks. I don’t even know what we are going to do, and I don’t care. As long as I spend every waking moment with her, I really don’t care. So thats my gushyness for the moment.

 

BTW, I want to thank Mr Dave Dombrowski, and Mr Matt “I suck Mr Ford’s dick to keep my job” Millen. I want to thank them for making me look forward to hockey season already. 1st of September, and I cannot wait to tune in to FSD and see the Winged Warriors take the ice once again. No reason we can’t do it again boys!!

Flights booked. Passport acquired. I am going across the pond baby!! Two weeks with my lovely. I must confess, I am terrified. Not of being over there, but of FLYING over there. The only time I have flown in my life that I can remember, I hated it.  So I think I shall be medicated. LOL.

 

Work has been kicking my ass. Strange hours, prickish people, but oh Lordy the money is good.

It’s 0200 in the AM. I am sitting here at work which normally would piss me off, but lately it seems like I am making money no matter when I come in. Yup, the summer lulls are gone. We have a mainstream prduct that we are kicking ass on and things are going pretty well. Well enough at least for me to be able to book my flight to see Jen all in one paycheck.

 

I know I haven’t posted in a while. Haven’t felt much of an inclination. But given the current situation I felt like writing something.

 

I need to get my passport too. I am a wee bit nervous about that because I have heard it takes forever to get one. But the official passport website says it only takes a month. IDK. i will be pissed beyond comprehension if I can’t go see my baby because of a passport issue.

 

Anyways, thats about it for now. We are supposed to have a big show running but the phones aren’t ringing. Suckage.

Dizzam..

So it’s been a while since I blogged. Havne’t had much to say really. The Wings are still kicking ass. i actually slept well for the second night in a row. I had been suffering from about a weeks worth of insomnia/bad dreams. I’m still madly in love with a woman 3500 frigging miles away. I’m still moving over there. I’m getting split reactions from my friends family about it. But I honestly don’t care what anybody else thinks or says. I need to do it. I want to do it. And it’s going to happen. I am 28 years old and have never made a big decision on my own my entire life. Pathetic reall, but that’s the way things have been. I have always been terrified of making the wrong decision. But moving accross the pond feels right. I have always wanted to live in Dublin anyways. Christ thats where half of my family is from. And now that I have Jen over there, all the more reason to do it.

So

The Wings are up 3-0 in the series. Good stuff there. I’ve made the decision to move to Ireland for a while. The goal is Jan ’09. It’s a loose goal honestly. Money wise, I hope I can handle it. Jen is already worrying about getting a place over there and all that jazz. A couple months before I go I will start looking into getting a job. I think I’ll have to live in the north for a little while, then I’d like to move to Dublin. But we’ll see how things go first.

I know it’s going to be a hard adjustment. Total and uncontrollable culture shock. I won’t be able to drive, I’m going to have to walk alot more, and take busses. It’s going to be insane there for a little while. I don’t adjust t to change well, but this change, I think , is needed.

It’s official

I am leaving the US for a good long while. Getting a one way ticket for the isles and not coming back for a while. Dunno when exactly it is going down, but within the next year is looking about right.

So I was supposed to work till 11pm tonight. I really didn’t feel like it so I offered a few hours to this guy. He took them so I’m out of here at 8pm now. Exciting news I know. Small victory. Anyways. So I was looking into this trusteeship thing, and found out I can’t do it until I get sued. Wonderful. Eff it. I could borrow a few grand from someone right now I’d get the hell out of the States and not have to worry about it. They can’t get me in Ireland. Anybody know the winning numbers for the lotto for this upcoming Friday night? I’ll split it with you if you do. Either that or does anybody have 3-4k I could borrow?

So. Detroit vs Dallas. I actually was not looking forward to playing the Stars. Turco has been great this playoffs. Frig, he made 61 saves to clinch the series in 4 OT. Osgood is gonna have to be super solid. The other reason I was really not looking forward to playing the Stars is Mike Modano. The guy is from the Detroit area. I’d have to say he is my favorite non-Red Wing.  Classy guy whos been with that franchise his whole career. They’ve got a good team. Should be a great series.  I say Wings in 7.

Onto other things. So I have officially started saving for my trip across the pond in January. I’m putting a little from each check aside and hopefully will have some decent loot saved up by the time I go. Things are really expensive over there so I’ll need it. One thing I won’t have to worry about are cigarettes. I am totally bringing a couple cartons with me. LOL. They don’t have my brand over there, and if they did I’d be paying upwards of 10 bucks a pack. EFF THAT NOISE. Alright i am going to go grab some grub.  FATMAN OUT!
